international trio with my very good friends:
Joe Sorbara - drums (from Toronto)
Bruce McKinnon - piano (from Calgary via New York)

Joe, Bruce and I met over several pieces of chocolate courgette cake at Banff Centre for the Arts back in 2001 and exchanged recipes ever since... our album of subtle and playful chamber music was released on Babel in 2006. Our influences have been many, but in particular, Erik Satie, the Marx Brothers, Paul Klee, Autechre and John Zorn may have had something to do with it...

Squash Recipe toured the UK during February/March 2006, and we were deeply saddened to hear of Bruce's
passing in early 2007 following a long fight with cancer. Why such things should come to such a unique and special
soul, and at such an early age will be forever beyond me, but I'm honoured to have spent what time that we did together.
