Jasper Høiby moved to London from Copenhagen in the year 2000 to study double bass and composition at the Royal Academy of Music. Since then he has been involved in a number of quality music projects, first and foremost his trio Phronesis: in Scandinavia with pianist Magnus Hjorth and drummer Anton Eger, and in the UK with Ivo Neame and Patrick Davey. Phronesis released their debut album Organic Warfare in November 2007, through the label of the Loop Collective.

As a sideman he collaborates with singers Julia Biel and Marcina Arnold, Triptych with Steinway artist Richard Fairhurst and New York drummer Chris Vatalaro; Compassionate Dictatorship with Jez Franks and Tori Freestone and the Mark Lockheart Group, with Liam Noble, Dave Priceman and Dave Smith.
